One year follow up

Calling all angels!

My beautiful husband is going in on Monday for his one year follow up. Can you believe it has been a year already? Wow. What a year it has been; filled with so much knowledge, lessons, growth, gifts and blessings.

We are feeling everything you can imagine we would be feeling as we circle back around to this procedure that saved his life one year ago. We are staying in the light and taking really good care of each other in this delicate time.

I ask that you all work your magic and send your prayers and powerful blessings to this man I get to call my husband and best friend in this lifetime. Join me as I visualize him in divine health, free of any dis-ease, and receiving a beautiful and clear result from his test.

I believe that his healthy lifestyle has supported him during this year and his path will be a safe, joyful and radically healthy one.

You are all very powerful humans and we are SO blessed to know each and every one of you. Thank you for holding him/us in your hearts and keeping your blessings flowing. We are lucky to share this life with you all.

Many of you know about a colonoscopy prep diet and the lovely beverage they provide for you to drink the day before the procedure. On the directions it says to drink a glass of the liquid and ‘walk about while drinking the liquid’, which I thought was cute so I decided to make it a little more than ‘walking about’.

Last year I decided to make a ‘not so fun’ experience a little fun by playing the theme to Laverne & Shirley on my iPhone and having Emmett march around the house and around the backyard with me every time he drank a glass. I think it was the lyrics that made me choose that song, along with the melody being so up beat and reminiscent of a more innocent time in my childhood. Especially these two phrases, they just empowered me, and it made my husband smile to see me dancing around singing out loud, and that brought me joy.

‘Nothin’s gonna turn us back now
Straight ahead and on the track now
We’re gonna make our dreams come true…
Doin’ it our way. There is nothing we won’t try.

Never heard the word impossible
This time there’s no stopping us
We’re gonna do it’

It became a little ritual that brought a smile to our faces while he endured a’ not so enjoyable’ experience. Is it wrong that I am looking forward to that part?

I will be doing the same thing this time around so if you live near us that is why you will be hearing the theme to Laverne & Shirley about 8-16 times on Easter Sunday.

Thank you for all the love and support over this past year and now as well.

We love you and look forward to sharing the good news as soon as we get it, that Emmett is still cancer-free and had a clear result!!!

Blessings to you and yours.
Love,
Dove & Emmett
