You Don’t Need Fitness Programs. You Need Recess!

Find a Way to Play Every Day
I find that we can over think a lot of what we do and I am here to tell you not to. Determine what activities you love, or at least like enough to actually show up for, and then do it. Period. The end. Honestly, it is that easy.

If you love tennis, then play tennis. If you love to ride your bike, then go bike riding. If you love hiking, then go on hikes. If you don’t love any of these things then call me and I will help you. But we all can simplify this to moving our body and getting it to breathe heavily and sweat. If we do that every day then we are taking care of our bodies.

I can get very technical and break it down to detailed programs, with intricate guidelines but it won’t serve you for me to do so. Instead I would like to lift the veil off of any confusion you may have, or thinking that you need help starting or sticking with a program. For starters, let’s not call it a program.

When we were kids,
we went outside and played.
When we were in school,
we had recess.
We just need to bring that energy back into our life. We don’t need fitness programs, we need Recess.

Let’s bring back recess and find a way to play every day in someway. I challenge you to come up with a few ideas of your own and share them with me. I will do the same.

We always have a choice as to how we want to walk through this life. How do you want to walk through yours? I choose to walk through mindfully, kindly, honestly, and most importantly, patiently. If that is called aging, then fine.
